Before the game starts, either a visual display of seat assignments will be shown or each player will chose a card at random from a shuffled set of cards and sit in the seat in relation to that card. The Tournament staff will choose a card at random and the nominated 'Dealer' position will be assigned to that seat and both 'Blinds' each to the left of the Dealer Button

Blinds are 2 forced bets put in by the 2 players to the left of the 'Dealer' button. The Small Blind (SB) is immediately to the left of the Dealer and half the size of the Big Blind (BB) which is immediately to left of the Small Blind. If a game starts with a SB25/BB50 this means the Small Blind has to put a in '25' value chip and the Big Blind puts in 2 '25' value chips before anyone recieves any cards.

These values change throughout the game at pre-determined intervals to increase the amount of chips in the pot and to force the speed up in play.

Once everyone is seated and the game starts, each player is dealt 2 'Hole Cards' (which they must not show to anyone else during the hand), the player left of the BB is first to 'Act' and must decide based on the strength of their hand whether they want to "Call" equalling the forced bet of the BB, "Raise" by putting at least double the the amount of the BB, go "All-In" to put all your chips into the pot or to "Fold" giving your cards back to the 'Dealer' and wait for the next hand.

Once all bets are equal 3 community cards are dealt "Face-Up" for all players to use to make the best 5-card hand possible and this is called "The Flop"

Another round of betting takes place starting with the first left of the Dealer who still has cards and their options are to "Check" which means to stay in the hand put not commit any extra chips into the pot. The minimum bet of chips is the size of the BB for the current round. Once all betting is complete the next community card is dealt and known os "The Turn" or "4th Street". The actions are repeated for this round and once complete the next card is dealt which is "The River" more betting takes place and at the end everyone with cards are then told to turn over their hole cards where each hand is read and the winner declared and awarded the pot of chips.

The hand can end at anytime if any player bets enough chips that no other wants to match and fold their cards. The winner is awarded the pot but they do not have to reveal their hand.

This continues until one player remains and has all the chips in play.
