The Blind Structure.

A general 9 - 18 player game with no Rebuy (buying another stack of chips to stay in the game) will last between 3 and 5 hours. The basic Blind Structure we use for our games upto 5 hours game time is as follows.

Our Blind Structure is easily adaptable to your needs.

We will discuss with you what is the best structure to have for the number of players at your event, the best Buy-in cost and the amount of starting chips.

Blind Stuctures have many styles to them depending on the length of the game, how many players are in the game and amount of starting chips each player has.

HYPER-TURBO.

These are generally found mostly in online games and they normally between 3 & 10minutes per level, SB10/BB20 starting blinds and may include Antes, and starting chip stacks of between 1500 and 3000 in chips which is a lot for the starting blinds but the rapid increase of levels means it won't be long before players are going 'All-In' to try and survive.

TURBO.

Slightly slower than before but still quite quick. The blind levels are usually around 15-20mins in length and starting stacks of around 5000 to 10,000 in chip values starting blinds of SB25/BB50 and this type of game will last around 4 hours and is usually found in most pub/bar leagues as well as most home games and is also the the type we use for our games.

STANDARD.

Good paced structure with 25-40min level increase and anywhere from 5k to 30k starting stacks. Usually this is used in live 'brick and mortar' casinos. Starting blinds are normally between SB25/BB50 & SB100/BB200.

Antes (a mandatory amount put in by each player at the table before receiving cards) are introduced quite early around about the 3rd level to increase the amount of action at the table. These are mainly used for tournaments that take place over 1-3days.

SLOW.

This is generally used in major tournaments like the European Poker Tour, World Poker Tour, The Goliath and World Series of Poker, which are conducted over a number of days somewhere between 3 and 9 days. The levels are between 50 and 90mins but can be longer as the number of participants are normally in the 1000's.
